My lifelong dream has been to visit Australia. As a young child I was enthralled by books I read about the wild brumbies, and like all young girls I was completely horse crazy. As I grew up and got a job and struggled just to make a living, I never thought my dream to visit Australia would come true. In 2000, I took up the hobby of spinning yarn from wool. It didn't take long before I was buying raw fleeces and soon after that I was buying fleece from New Zealand and Australia and corresponding with the delightful residents of that part of the world. I got many invitation to "come and visit" if I was ever in that part of the world. I still didn't believe it could ever happen. Then last year, a relative I didn't know existed died with no will and I received a small inheritance. There was no hesitation on my part - I was finally going to visit Australia and New Zealand. This web site is meant to be a chronicle of my travels down under with pictures and text of the people I meet and the places I visit. I will be taking my digital camera and notebook computer and attempting to update my site all through my trip. I don't know how to write a web page yet, but I have books on the way and I will use my 18 hour flight from Los Angeles to Christchurch to work thru the first lessons in web publishing.
